Judge Deborah Davis Walker

  • In 2000 when Judge Deborah Davis Walker was Head Judge of the Bernalillo County Family Court, she issued a memorandum to override law, refusing attachments to pleadings in family court cases. To this day the family court clerks refuse attachments to pleadings without special permission from a judge. New Mexico local rules for Bernalillo County clearly provide for such attachments.
  • In 2002 father sued asking for sole custody of the parties' 8-year old son who had never lived with him before by claiming that mother alienated and inhibited the father-son relationship. At the end of trial in 2003, Judge Walker found that there were no circumstances justifying a change in custody (from joint to sole) or primary time-sharing (from mother to father). Father, however, was given a very generous time-sharing schedule including almost all holidays and the entire summer. Unfortunately, the cost to mother for defending against the onslaught of false allegations was over $90,000. Mother appealed to get these costs back and asked for a reversal of Judge Walker's order that child support be used to pay the guardian ad litem. Mother won most issues on appeal, in addition to her cost of appeal.
  • In 2003 a judgment from Judge Deborah Davis Walker is issued against Carl Vidal regarding fees, claiming that he still owed Wolf and Fox a whopping $14,663.48 (from a bill that was originally around $9000).Download judgment as pdf Note that by this time his children were aged 24 and 23, respectively. Carl's case and the "legal robbery" lasted for over six years after the family court had any right to jurisdiction over his children! (see the story: The Great Diamond Caper)
  • Judge Walker demanded thousands of dollars in child support from a father who was medically incapable of fathering a child.
  • Judge Deborah Davis Walker dutifully followed in the footsteps of her mentor Anne Kass by initiating and driving a scheme with the objectives of making false accusations and demanding the investigation of CFJ President, Leslie Cumiford.
