Facing mounting evidence of massive corruption reaching the highest
levels of the New Mexico Court system during his watch, Presidential
Candidate and New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson pretends that
it does not exist. The non-profit, non-partisan Center for Family
Justice has provided the Governor with formal results of a series
of large studies of New Mexico family court cases, to which he
has failed to respond. The Center's web site contains extensive
documentary evidence of court corruption and its impact on families
throughout New Mexico, and is the largest web site of its type
in the world. The most recent October 2007 letter to Governor
Richardson provided yet more findings of specific, verifiable
court corruption in cases involving two New Mexico Supreme Court
Justices, among others. The letter and supporting information
can be found here: http://www.family-justice.org/fix/billrichardson.htm
The specific information, mailed by U.S. certified mail/return
receipt to Governor Richardson, NM Attorney General Gary King,
and acting U.S. Attorney for NM Larry Gomez, shows that NM Supreme
Court Justice Petra Maes heard 52 out of 54 cases in a row involving
Santa Fe attorney Sylvia LaMar in District Family Court in three
New Mexico counties: Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, and Los Alamos. Sylvia
LaMar has enjoyed a spectacular record of awards of attorneys
fees over the last three decades. These cases involve the loss
of homes, assets, and most importantly access to their children
on the part of scores of New Mexico parents, without fair trials
(in some cases with no hearings at all) and without due process
as mandated by the U.S. Constitution. A second NM Supreme Court
Justice, Patricio Serna, is named in this extensive study of domestic
relations cases. Both justices have been named in a previous study
by the Center involving Santa Fe attorney Richard Lees.
Why has Governor Richardson patently ignored rapidly-mounting
evidence of massive court fraud akin to that of the Greylord incident
in Chicago in the 1980s? One must go back in time to understand
that Governor Richardson, in the 1980's and 1990's in the Third
District Congressional seat in Washington, played a key role in
federal legislation that set up New Mexico for the massive family
and children’s court system corruption that
is in place today. Over the last three decades, this corruption
has spilled over to impact every court in New Mexico, including
criminal, metro, civil, and the higher courts. For more information

We are pleased to announce that Bill O’Connell,
the Research Director for the New-Mexico-based Center for Family
Justice, is going to Washington, D. C., to represent us at the
first “Family Preservation Day” to be held at the
Lincoln Memorial on August 18, 2007.
As the Family Preservation Day announcement shows, http://www.dcrally2007.com/,
corruption in state courts, particularly those affecting families
and children, is a nationwide concern. “Honorable”
is not a term that can be applied to the corrupt and abusive practices
that much of the state and federal judiciaries oversee, in which
children are held hostage in processes designed to extort money
from parents, grandparents or any other family member available
to have a pocket picked. We also take into consideration the billions
of taxpayer dollars that are misused as the system mushrooms out
of control without public scrutiny or accountability. The wealth
that is being transferred from the victims of judicial injustice
is in the billions of dollars. The monies are going to the lawyers,
mental health professionals, real estate brokers and other political
allies of the judiciary to maintain the corruption of the system.
We are amassing more and more information on judicial corruption,
and regularly post this information on our web site.
- October 25, 2004: A second press release was
made regarding the mother with three children and the physically
abusive father. See our "Story
of Three Children" section for more information. The
focus of this release was to highlight the "verbal IQ test"
given to the mother by the Second Judicial District Court Clinic.
The mother was asked questions such as, "What is the population
of the world?" and "What is the capital of Italy?",
supposedly to determine whether she was suitable to parent her
children. The physically abusive father, however, was not tested
at all. This account, along with a transcript from the testing
session giving all the ridiculous questions asked to the mother,
was not covered by any media organizations. Download

- September 17, 2004: A soldier is stationed
in Iraq and returns as a decorated war hero, but not before his
three children were taken by New Mexico Children, Youth, and Families
Department (CYFD) while his wife was temporarily visiting her
mother in Roswell, New Mexico. The family resided in Fort Hood
Texas for over a year prior to this time. CYFD claimed on their
official forms that he had abandoned his children rather than
stating the truth - he was fighting for our country. See our "NM
takes TX family" section for more information. None of
the media organizations to whom this story was released covered
this gripping account. Download

- August 27, 2004: A mother of three children
attempts to protect them from their father who has been convicted
of abuse of a family member. Once custody evaluator Richard Reed
got the case, he recommended against Judge Angela Jewell's existing
order that the father should not have unsupervised time with the
children. Guardian Mary Chappelle concurred, and in spite of a
record of several different instances of physical abuse of the
children, Judge Angela Jewell ordered the children to spend time
alone with their father. Moreover, the mother was ordered to a
psychological evaluation upon going Pro Se in her case. See our
"Story
of Three Children" section for more information. To our
knowledge, this story was not covered by any media organizations.

estate partnerships that are a conflict of interest, abuse of
prescription drugs, and other wrongdoing by three prominent members
of the family court cottage industry was released to the media.
None of this information was reported by the press. See our "Persons
of Concern" section for more information . Download

- June 04, 2004: CFJ has released a large body
of evidence of wrongdoing of public officials to several members
of the media, and invited many others to contact us to obtain
this information. This press release provides a summary of the
information. To our knowledge, little to none of this information
made it into New Mexico news stories. We wonder why.
